Brief Introduction:

Wenzhou Medical University,it's histry can be traced back from Zhejiang Medical School established in Hangzhou in 1912,in August of 1958, Part of Zhejiang Medical School was moved from Hangzhou to Wenzhou. in 2013, the name of Wenzhou Medical College changed to Wenzhou Medical University ( WMU)

Wenzhou Medical University is composed of three campuses, located respectively at Xueyuan Road, Xiushan and Chashan, covering an area of 73 ha. (=1100 mu) with a building floor of 180,000 m2. The school library has a collection of 700,000 books and 1100 categories of periodicals either in Chinese or foreign languages. Subordinate to WMU are 6 institutes, 1 experimental animal center, four directly affiliated hospitals with around Four thousands beds,15 centers of Laboratory, among them 3 are Key Laboratories of Ministerial level

The University began to recruit five-year undergraduate students in 1958 and master's students in 1978. It is the first batch of master's degree awarding units in China and has the right to grant doctoral degrees. At present, there are 12 first-class doctoral programs in clinical medicine, basic medicine, pharmacy and biomedical engineering, doctoral programs in clinical medicine, nursing, traditional Chinese medicine, biology, biomedical engineering, basic medicine, integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, pharmacy, medical technology, oral medicine, public health and preventive medicine and public management, 8 master's degree authorization points in clinical medicine, biomedical engineering, Stomatology, nursing, public management, pharmacy, public health and applied psychology; It has a mobile post doctoral research station for primary disciplines of clinical medicine and pharmacy. It has 1 State Key Laboratory jointly built by provinces and ministries, 1 National Engineering Technology Research Center, 1 national clinical medicine Research Center (ophthalmic diseases) 1 Key Laboratory for clinical research and evaluation of ophthalmic diseases, medical devices and drugs of the State Food and drug administration, 2 collaborative innovation centers jointly built by the Ministry of education, 2 national international science and technology cooperation bases and 29 provincial and ministerial scientific research platforms. 2 "top priority first-class disciplines" in Zhejiang Province, 3 class a first-class disciplines, 6 class B first-class disciplines, 10 key disciplines in Colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province and 2 key construction disciplines in Zhejiang Province.
